Hon.
Datuk Radin Malleh was born on 5 November 1950 in Tenom.
He is married to Angeline Tom and they have 4 children.
Datuk
Radin serves as the chief executive officer of the party.
He has a varied professional background and served for a
lengthy period as a senior officer with the Malaysian police
before joining PBS in 1990.
He is
also a qualified lawyer, having earned an LLB degree from
the University of Kent, United Kingdom in 1986.
Datuk
Radin is a two-term member of parliament. He previously
served as MP for the Padas constituency (1990-1995) and
the Tenom constituency (1995-1999). He is currently the
Assemblyman for N.30 Melalap since 13 March 1999 and heads
the PBS Melalap Division.
Radin
was appointed as the Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister's
Department in March 2004.
For
his numerous contributions to the state, he was awarded
the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) medal in 2002
which carries the title "Datuk" and the Ahli Setia
Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK) in 1993 by the TYT Yang di Pertua
Negeri Sabah.
Prior
to assuming the post of PBS Secretary General in 1994, Datuk
Radin was one of the party's Vice President. He is also
known for his special interest in the arts, including folklore
and poetry, and has a large collection of personally-composed
malay pantun to his credit.
