Hon. Dr. Yee Moh Chai was born on 25 May 1955. He is married to Vicky Lai Nyat Yin, a practising lawyer and they have 5 children.

Dr. Yee is currently a member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Api-Api constituency and a member of the Malaysian Parliament (MP) for the Tanjung Aru seat. He is currently one of the Deputy President of the PBS and also heads the PBS Api-Api Division.

He is both a medical doctor and lawyer by background. Prior to his appointment as the Minister of Resource and Information Technology in the Sabah Cabinet in March 2004, he was practising as an Advocate and Solicitor with Dr. Yee and Associates.
