Datuk
Pg A K Aliuddin Datuk Pg Haji Mohd Tahir was born on
30 August 1944. He is married to Puan Khadzerah Mohd
Salleh and they have 3 daughters and 3 sons.
Datuk
Pg A K Aliddin was the MP of Kimanis from 1977 until
1981. He is currently one of the Deputy President of
PBS and heads the PBS Bongawan Division.
He
is a teacher and a journalist by background before venturing
into full-time politics. In the early 70s, he was actively
involved in the promotion of Bahasa Malaysia language
and served as a Deputy President of the Badan Bahasa (BAHASA).
For
his numerous contributions in the field of education and
journalism, he was awarded the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK)
medal by the TYT Yang di Pertua Negeri Sabah in 1979,
and the Johan Mangku Negara (JMN) by the Yang di Pertuan
Agong in 2004. He
was conferred the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK)
by the TYT Yang di Pertua Negeri Sabah on 16 September
2005 which carries the title "Datuk".
