Jeffrey's
Criticism Of Pairin Misplaced, Says Henrynus
KOTA
KINABALU, July 23 (Bernama) -- Parti Bersatu Sabah
(PBS) secretary-general Datuk Henrynus Amin on Monday derided
Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan for what he described as misplaced
criticism of Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan's unwavering
support for the Barisan Nasional (BN), which he said reflects
PBS confidence in the leadership and policies of the prime
minister and the Sabah chief minister.
He said
PBS is certainly not amused by Dr Jeffrey Kitingan's latest
antics, criticising his own brother who is PBS president,
MP for Keningau and state assemblyman for Tambunan, for
having praised the BN state and federal leadership.
"What
is wrong in expressing the party's gratitude to the BN state
and federal leadership for all the good things done to benefit
the people of Sabah?" he asked.
Henrynus
said any right-thinking politician would give credit where
credit is due and criticism when criticism is necessary,
depending on the situation.
"It
is utterly silly for Dr Jeffrey to utter such criticism
when Pairin was merely exercising his responsibility to
the people of Keningau and Tambunan by giving due credit
to the good deeds of the BN state and federal government,"
he said in a statement.
