Sabahans Should Unite For Better
Future
KOTA
BELUD, July 25 (Bernama) -- Parti Bersatu Sabah
(PBS) president Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan has called
on Sabahans to be united for a better future.
He said
there had been obstacles in the past which made this difficult
to achieve, but it was time for all quarters to unite.
"As
Sabahans, we need to figure out how we, together with federal
government leaders, could bring progress to our state and
children.
"We
need to give attention and commitment for our future. If
we don't work together, we will be divided by those who
want to see us broken up," he said in a speech at the
Usukan and Tempasuk PBS division annual general meeting
at Dewan Rasa Sayang near here today.
He said
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had found a solution
for unity through the 1Malaysia concept, and that the PBS
would also base the party's struggles on the concept of
unity.
