Nation's New Dawn In Politics

KOTA KINABALU, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- A new dawn in politics is looming in the country, Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) secretary-general Datuk Henrynus Amin said Tuesday.

He said credit should be given to the Barisan National (BN) government under the far-sighted leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for making drastic changes to the Malaysian political landscape for the good of the people and country.

He said this was evident over the announcement of the abolishment of the Internal Security Act (ISA) and several out-dated draconian laws.

"The announcement, no doubt, has created a new climate of goodwill in Malaysian politics and this is a victory for democracy, human rights and civil liberties," he said in a statement here.
