Be knowledgeable about Sabah Devt Corridor: PBS
president
TAWAU, Feb 2 (The Borneo Post) -- Parti
Bersatu Sabah (PBS) president Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan
hoped the people could equip themselves with knowledge of
Sabah Development Corridor (SDC) and give suggestions which
could be developed.
Pairin said the government would always consider the people’s
need by carrying out discussion in each district to let
the people get involved in SDC programmes.
He said this during his visit to PBS Sri Tanjong Chinese
New Year open house at Jalan Sinon yesterday morning.
“The people here need development. Therefore it is the
responsibility of all parties to get involved in SDC planning
for better state development in the future.
“It depends on us how to plan and manage SDC programmes
to ensure the smooth running of all systems and procedures.
“For example, the government is now trying to fill empty
job vacancies. At the same time, job seekers have been advised
not to be too choosy,” Pairin said recently.
Sabah Resource Development and Information Technology Minister
Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai, Local Government and Housing Assistant
Minister Edward Yong Oi Fah, PBS Sri Tanjong chairman Fung
Len Fui and other Chinese community leaders were also present
at the function.
