Foster closer relations: Pairin

SIPITANG, August 24 (Daily Express) -- Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) President Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan urged party members to continue fostering closer relationships with the other Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties.

Opening the Sindumin and Lumadan PBS joint annual general meeting here Wednesday, he said close relationship among the BN components could further strengthen the coalition.

Party members should also maintain high discipline and carry out the responsibilities entrusted to them, apart from being prepared for the next general election, he said.

Also present were Sindumin PBS Chief Datin Jamilah Slaiman and her Lumadan counterpart Roslan Muharam, as well as Assistant Finance Minister Datuk Sapawi Haji Ahmad, who is Sindumin Umno Chief.
