New PBS Supreme
council committee ready for election
KOTA
KINABALU, January 23 (Borneo Post) -- Parti Bersatu
Sabah (PBS) new supreme council committee announced by President
Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan can strengthen the party
and the Barisan Nasional (BN) in facing the coming general
election.
Newly
appointed PBS chief information officer Johnny Mositun believes
the committee comprising new and old faces will be able
to do the job in facing the election, which according to
the party president can be held at anytime.
He
also believed the BN leadership will create a win-win situation,
especially in power sharing among its component parties
in all seats where appropriate, to win the hearts of the
voters.
On
another note, Mositun who is also the Pantai Manis PBS chief,
said his main task at the moment is to revive the party’s
official newspaper, Suara Bersatu, which had not been active
for quite some time.
“I
hope to be able to do this within one or two months,” he
said, adding the newspaper would be able to better disseminate
accurate information to party members.
Apart
from that, PBS members would also be able to present their
views on developments in their respective areas, he said.
