PBS
adopts proactive measure to reach out to the Rakyat
TENOM,
January 22 (Daily Express) -- Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS)
will be reaching out to the people in a more proactive measure,
that would involve the participation of all Government departments.
Assistant
Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Radin Malleh said the
people would also be involved to help in development strategies
and improve the delivery system.
The
programme would also enable all quarters to meet the party
leader and organizers at any time to hear their views and
reaction on the implementation of specific developments,
he added.
Radin,
who is Melalap Assemblyman, said while addressing a special
gathering of the party’s division, including the Youth and
Wanita wings here, on Sunday.
According
to him, the programme would require the involvement of the
district offices, People Development Leader Unit (UPKR)
and leaders of Barisan Nasional component parties towards
identifying problems and solving them.
He
also reminded Government officers to comply with the Government’s
standing orders to refrain from taking an active part in
politics, as they have an obligation to help improve the
delivery system.
Radin,
who is PBS secretary, said the party would also be receptive
to constructive suggestions that could be forwarded to the
Chief Minister’s Department.
In
this respect, the cooperation among the members would be
the most vital in the implementation of development programmes
beneficial to the people in general.
