PBS reminder on power-sharing

PAPAR, March 12 (Daily Express) -- Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) here expressed full support to any candidates to be fielded by the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the impending election.

The Pantai Manis division maintained its call that all component parties be involved in the administration level in the state constituencies in the Papar Parliamentary area under the BN power-sharing concept.

Its chief, Johnny Mositun, reiterated for fair representation of the respective BN component parties in political appointments made by the respective elected representatives in the Kawang and Pantai Manis state constituencies.

Speaking when chairing the division meeting here, recently, Mositun who is also PBS Information Chief, said PBS Pantai Manis leaves it to the elected representatives' discretion and wisdom in the distribution of allocation and small projects in their area.

"It is up to them (elected representatives) to consider disseminating the various small projects in the villages where appropriate," he said.

Earlier, he urged party members to be prepared for the election and take steps to bolster the party and the BN strength.

This would mean they should focus on providing necessary support to facilitate the smooth implementation of the Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP) as well as to be near the grassroots with the view to listen and assist in whatever problems face by them, he said.

At the same time, he also requested PBS members in the district to be ready for the coming party annual general meeting.
