Keadilan
spreading rumours about PBS
KOTA BELUD, March 1 (Daily Express) --
Parti Keadilan Rakyat should stop using "dirty"
tactics in their political talks by associating Parti Bersatu
Sabah (PBS) with the opposition to form the Government replacing
Barisan Nasional (BN).
PBS Vice President
Herbert Timbon Lagadan claimed that such tactics were being
used by Keadilan as a topic, particularly in PBS-represented
areas.
"I would
like to stress here that PBS as a component member of the
BN has no relations whatsoever with KeadilanÉ(President
PBS) Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan also has no business
with the opposition party," he said here Wednesday.
Herbert who is
also Kadamaian Assemblyman and a political secretary to
the Chief Minister, was rejecting claims by several Keadilan
speakers to this effect in their talks at Kampung Lobong-Lobong
and Kampung Piasau, recently.
According to
him, based on information he had received, the speakers
told the audience that Pairin would be merging with Keadilan
in the coming General Election.
"The opposition
also claimed that Pairin had already issued directive to
several PBS leaders to assist Keadilan because if Datuk
Dr Jeffrey Kitingan wins he will be appointed as Chief Minister
while Pairin as the country's Deputy Prime Minister,"
he said.
"This is
all not true, it is a blatant lie. This is the only way
for them (Keadilan) to gain sympathy from the rakyat especially
PBS supporters," he said.
