to repair Tanjung market: Pairin

Deputy Chief Minister cum Rural Development Minister Datuk
Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan said RM510,000 has been allocated
for repair works on the Tanjung market.
According
to him, the works include repairing the roofs, drains, lighting,
fans and other facilities that require immediate attention.
The
contractors had begun the repair works, with the hope that
the problems faced by the traders would be resolved soon,
said Pairin, who is also the PBS President.
He
said this during his rounds to meet local hawkers in conjunction
with the forthcoming Chinese New Year festivity, at the
Tanjung market.
The
allocation was necessitated by the high extent of damage
to the market, he added.
Accompanying
him were Resource Develoment and Information Technology
Minister Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai and Local Government and
Housing Assistant Minister Edward Yong Oui Fah, Sr Tanjung
Assemblyman Samson Chin and Tawau MP Shim Paw Fatt.
