KOTA KINABALU:
Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS)'s membership in the Barisan Nasional
(BN) Government is very important to the country's political
stability, especially in Sabah, Prime Minister Datuk Seri
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said.
As the second
largest party in the Sabah BN Government, PBS has leaders
and members who are experienced, dedicated and matured in
the country's political arena, Abdullah, who is also BN
Chairman, said in his message in conjunction with PBS 20th
general assembly.
He said the qualitative
attributes and vast experience of PBS leaders and members
had enhanced the solidarity and strength of the BN in the
State's politics as well as in the development of the people
of Sabah.
"I believe
PBS will continue to play its role as a catalyst in realising
the country's vision and bring greater heights of success
for the people, especially in Sabah," he said.
He also said
the concept of co-operation and power sharing in the BN
should continue to be maintained for the future wellbeing
of the people and country.
"I hope
PBS leaders and members, together with the rest of Sabahans,
will continue to strive to enhance unity and understanding,"
he added.
