Preserve
understanding between races at all cost: Pairin

KENINGAU:
The culture of respecting one another from different cultural
background must be preserved at all costs, Parti Bersatu
Sabah (PBS) president Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Pairin
Kitingan said.
He said it was
such respect that allowed Malaysia to become peaceful and
stable.
Speaking to reporters
after making his round to extend Chinese New Year greetings
to the business community in town here, Pairin said that
such an understanding among Malaysians was a strong asset.
“This is one
of the unique things we have and it must be preserved,”
said Pairin who is also the Keningau MP and Tambunan Assemblyman.
Also present
during the walkabout were Sembulan Assemblyman Edward Yong,
Tamparuli Assemblyman Edward Linggu, Bingkor Assemblyman
Datuk Dr. Jeffry Kitingan, and Tanjung Aru MP Dr. Yee Moh
Chai.
Others were Kiulu
Assemblyman Datuk Louis Rampas, State Legislative Assembly
deputy speaker Datuk James Vitalis, and PBS deputy president
A.K Aliuddin.
Pairin later
presented 100 packets of goodies and ang pow to Keningau
Hospital patients.
The group also
made similar visit to Tambunan town and the Tambunan Hospital.
