Cooperate to ensure a big win: Pairin

KOTA MARUDU: PBS called for Barisan Nasional (BN) co-operation to win big in the coming State and parliamentary elections.

PBS President Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan said this was the basis of the coalition’s strength and supporters should give their full support to the BN candidate in any constituency.

“When BN has decided on seat allocations and choice of candidates, politicking must cease and everybody must co-operate to ensure a big win for the chosen BN candidate,” Pairin said.

He was speaking at the closing of a two-day Election Preparation Training work camp for Tandek and Matunggong, near here, on Sunday.

Pairin, who was on a tour of several State constituencies, praised the organisers of the training camp for their hard work and co-operation.

He also reminded party members to meet the people in their respective areas and bring them the latest electoral rolls.

At the function, 1,452 new members, including 613 applicants from Matunggong and Tandek, handed their PBS membership applications to Pairin.
