KOTA KINABALU: PBS Deputy President Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili has described the 2004 State Budget as a realistic and pragmatic budget.

The Budget was unveiled by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman who is also Finance Minister at the State Legislative Assembly yesterday.

He said the priorities and strategies of the Budget were consistent with the Chief Minister’s Halatuju.

“There is increased allocation for agriculture and rural development as well as continuing stress on sustainable tourism development,” he said.

“And, it calls for discipline spending and living within our means,” he added.
