Datuk
Pairin congratulates Musa
KOTA
KINABALU: Leaders from the various State Barisan Nasional
(BN) component parties hailed the appointment of State Umno
liaison chairman Datuk Musa Aman as the next Sabah Chief
Minister.
Parti
Bersatu Sabah (PBS) president Datuk Joseph Pairin Kitingan
said the party would give full cooperation in administering
the state under the coming new leadership.
“I
congratulate Datuk Musa on his appointment and I am confident
that he will be able to carry out his duty well for the
benefit of the people,” said Pairin whose party has 13 State
Assemblymen, the second largest after Umno, which has 26
assemblymen.
On
the possibility of a State Cabinet reshuffle with the changing
of guard in the state administration, Pairin said the party
was ready to offer its service.
“If
there is a Cabinet reshuffle, we hope PBS (Assemblymen)
will be taken into consideration (in the Cabinet line-up),”
he said.
On
the rotation of the Chief Minister’s post, Pairin was of
the opinion that the BN must discuss the issue before the
next state election for a “final decision.”
