Pairin Still Needed By PBS, Sabah People, Says

KOTA BELUD, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- Parti
Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, who
celebrates his 70th birthday today, is still needed by the
party and the people of Sabah, said PBS vice president Datuk
Herbert Timbun Lagadan.
Commenting on the PBS silver jubilee celebration this year,
he expressed his full support for the leadership of Pairin
whom he described as a respected leader of the people of
Sabah.
Herbert, who is also the State Assemblyman for Kadamaian
and Assistant Minister to the State Minister of Community
development and Consumer Affairs, said Pairin had provided
the vision, inspiration and continuity for PBS in its 25-year
political struggle which never changed until today.
He said Pairin's leadership was still needed by the people
of Sabah for many more years to come.
