PBS alleges cover-up on Banggi Reclassification

Kota Marudu, Mon. - Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) today alleged that the State government was trying to cover up the irregularities and wrong-doings committed by members of the administration in the reclassification of the Banggi Class I Forest Reserve last year.

Its deputy president, Dr Maximus Ongkili, said Chief Minister Datuk Yong Teck Lee promised the Legislative Assembly last June that he would initiate investigations into the claims.

PBS repeated its call on Chief Minister Datuk Yong Teck Lee to inform the Sabah public what action he has taken against government decision-makers who committed irregularities in the reclassification of the Banggi Class I Forest Reserve last year.
